Sue's Fantastic Fish

I'm not talking about dinner folks , I am talking about Sue Strazewski UFO completed. She's a knitter that turns out hats faster than I can get pictures of them. And this adorable number was a hat she started just before her first meeting with The Eldridge Knitting Nook. Determined , whimsical and talent.....Sue's got it all............

We love it Sue..........now we just need to see the Noggin that is lucky enough to receive this hat!

Eldridge Knitting Nook: The Ugly Yarn

The Ugly Yarn

What happens when you open your stash closet and out falls your acrylic rejects. You know...we all have them hidden....yarn that was kindly given to you years before....maybe you bought it, but the project has long passed, and the item has even been worn beyond an expiration date. Thats what happened here. We were gifted some yarn that was no longer needed and tried to rehome it. Some of the younger cooler yarns found a home, but those long in the tooth...well sadly, they ended up in my stash closet and fell out one day! And this is what I decided.......
All Yarn is beautiful! Some just need a good day of pampering..fluffed up.
Taken out of the house and for a ride....we all get housebound.

Jonathan gave all those wayward yarn piles a good pampering....and look what transformed...
All good make-overs deserve .... a photo shoot.

Don't forget to dress them according to their colors
                                                 ...are they a spring color..
                                                                                            or Autumn?

Let them frolic among other color groups!

And look what can develop!!!
                                                                             .....Guess who wants it now?

So the message for the month is...crawl to the bottom of the basket, dig out those yarns...shake up your stash and get your Fiber on!

The day the Fiber Muse came to visit.

I am thrilled with our group of Fiber Fanatics. Those with talent shine and those that are learning are even brighter with enthusiasm and determination....with our more experienced Fiber folks helping them along! What a beautiful group of people. So much energy in one place, never contained. Either, we are all blessed, or the Fiber Muse comes to visit. Maybe a little bit of both. No matter how you define it, THE BUZZ CAFE becomes a magical place....a place that I truly appreciate each and every meeting. Thank you members!!!

Eldridge Knitting Nook: Three Great Meetings!

Three Great Meetings!

The last three meetings have been full of laughter, adventure and sharing! I have so many pictures to show everyone that I had to do a slideshow. If anyone would like me to send them individual pics thru e-mail, just let me know.
Thank you Lindsey for bringing three generations of creativity to Eldridge Knitting Nook. They are now official members! What a sweet legacy you have!
And Thank you Lindsey for letting us borrow your drum carder and fleece from one of your Alpaca.  Everyone enjoyed working with the Drum Carder and the silky fleece!

I walked outside during one of the last meetings.....and when I returned I opened the door to the BUZZ CAFE and the immediate  loud laughter and talking was exhilarating.....everyone was having a great time! That's what  this is all about!

Thank you EVERYONE for being so open and welcoming to newcomers......and caring with each other. I believe this is truly a blessed group!
